Dragana Cvijic, a two-time Champions League winner and world champion silver medalist, will strengthen the women’s handball team in Ferencváros from the summer.
German Julia Behnke will return to her homeland in the summer, so someone had to be certified for the post. During his professional career, 31-year-old Dragana Cvijic was a player for Crvena zvezda, Krim Mercator Ljubljana, Vardar Skopje and CSM Bucuresti, winning BL in 2012 and 2015 with Buducnost Podgorica. He started this season again in Ljubljana, and from January he will strengthen Moscow for half a year.
“I couldn’t find my calculations in Ljubljana, so I decided to switch. I really liked what the FTC leaders were outlining me, so my first decision was to join the team from next season, but I wanted to be in the BL this semester as well. so I took the opportunity in Moscow, “Cvijic said.
Zsolt Görög, executive director of the FTC’s handball division, called Cvijic an international class who plays at the highest level in both defense and attack, a true fighter, a winning type of player, and his passionate style of play fits the spirit of Ferencváros.
