Fractal Design Introduces Mini and Nano Versions of Define 7 and Meshify 2 – Computer – News

Fractal Design has released two smaller variants of its Meshify 2 and Define 7 cases. Each enclosure will have a Mini version for mATX motherboards and a Nano version for mini-ITX builds.

Fractal Design makes the new variants of both housings available from now on. The Meshify 2 Enclosures have a mesh front for better airflow. The front panels of de Define 7-cases are closed. Furthermore, the housings have the same specifications.

The two Mini housings are intended for mATX builds. These cases can accommodate seven 120mm fans or four 140mm fans. Fractal supplies the Mini variants with a 140mm fan at the front and a 120mm fan at the rear. As for water cooling, a 240mm or 280mm radiator will fit on the front and a 240mm variant on the top. Furthermore, two 3.5″ and four 2.5″ drives fit into the housings. The Mini enclosures are 396mm deep, 205mm wide and 406mm high.

The two Nano variants are intended for mini-ITX motherboards. Both variants can accommodate six 120mm fans or three 140mm fans. Fractal supplies the cases with a 140mm fan on the front and a 120mm fan on the back. The front also offers space for a 240mm or 280mm radiator for water cooling. Users can install up to one 3.5″ HDD and three 2.5″ drives in the Nano enclosures. The Nano housings are 396mm deep, 206mm wide and 361mm high.

The cases all have a removable top panel for easier access to installed hardware and cable management. The Nano and Mini variants can both accommodate GPUs with a maximum length of 331mm and CPU coolers with a maximum height of 167mm. The Meshify 2 enclosures will both be available in black and white, both with a glass side panel. The Define 7 will only be available in black, with the choice between a glass side panel or a ‘closed’ side panel.

The Mini variants all cost $110 and the Nano cases have a suggested retail price of $100. A spokesperson for Fractal tells Tweakers that the company does not disclose euro prices due to fluctuations in the exchange rate.
