Islamic Brotherhood Front (REIT) condemned the attack Israel to the Al Aqsa Mosque and the Gaza Strip on Palestine. FPI also initiated fundraising to help Palestinians affected by Israeli attacks.
“Strongly condemn the brutal Israeli terrorist attacks on the Al Aqsa Mosque and the attack on the Gaza Strip, Palestine,” Awit said in the FPI statement received by CNNIndonesia.com, Friday (21/5).
He also called on all leaders of the Islamic world to unite against Israel. He said the Israeli army had been barbaric by killing Muslims in Palestine and desecrating the sanctity of the Al Aqsa Mosque.
Furthermore, Awit invited all Muslims in the world to liberate Palestine from Israeli occupation by carrying out economic jihad actions in the form of boycotting the products of the United States and Israel.
“Inviting all elements of the Indonesian nation to help the Palestinian struggle with the capabilities we have,” he said.
He also invited all Muslims in Indonesia to raise donations for the Palestinian people. Donations are sent to the Medical Emergenciy Rescue Committee account.
In the past 11 days, air strikes and gunfire have taken place between Israeli soldiers and armed militant groups in Palestine. The war resulted in the death of hundreds of civilians.
The number of residents in the Gaza Strip, Palestine, who died as a result of the attacks by the Israeli Army has now reached 232 people, including 65 children. Meanwhile, at least 1,900 people were injured.
Hamas authorities say the Israeli attack has displaced about 120,000 people.
Meanwhile, the number of victims killed by Israel as a result of Palestinian militia rocket attacks from the Gaza Strip was recorded at 12 people.
