NasDem Party politician Zulfan Lindan say FPI and HTI will be fruit simalakama for Anies Baswedan if elected President. He predicted that there would be massive demands on Anies to restore the two organizations.
“So like this, for Anies if he becomes president, FPI and HTI are simalakama,” said Zulfan Lindan in the Adu Perspective discussion detikcomWednesday (1/2/2023).
Zulfan then explained the intention of FPI and HTI to be simalakama for Anies. He alluded to the role of FPI and HTI in winning Anies in the 2017 DKI Jakarta gubernatorial election.
“However, what we know is that when Anies became governor, the support of the FPI and HTI was there, and it was great for mobilizing Islamic groups that were opposed to Ahok. The parties were in secret, right? Playing at polling stations. just, if they are clear. Then with certain events finally this is banned, right,” he said.
Zulfan said what if Anies Baswedan elected president in 2024, then these two organizations will demand to be rehabilitated and their names restored. He said they would demand compensation after winning Anies Baswedan.
“Now, like this, if Anies becomes president, for example, their position is not rehabilitated, this is just wishful thinking, then they hold a massive demonstration, the president is Anies Baswedan, how will Anies deal with massive demonstrations which will be in big waves? , then can drop him as president because of the distrust of this Islamic group towards Anies,” he explained.
“What is Anies’ attitude as a moderate, intellectual, philosophical person, right? It is hoped that things like what happened in the previous demonstrations will not happen. This is what I say to Anies, FPI and HTI, this is for Anies simalakama,” he continued.
Zulfan did not deny that legally these two organizations would remain banned. However, according to him, these two organizations will still sue Anies.
“Meanwhile, Gus Choi (Chairman of the NasDem DPP) said earlier that there is a law like this, okay, but it’s called people demanding rights, demanding, asking for this to be repealed, rehabilitated, all of you are president, we support you, why can’t you give something to me, demo them, so what? This is what I said,” he said.
