KOMPAS.com – Session free practice or first independent training (FP1) MotoGP Portugal 2020 has just finished.
FP1 MotoGP Portugal which lasted for 70 minutes was held at the Algarve International Circuit, Portimao, on Friday (20/11/2020) afternoon WIB.
Red Bull KTM Tech 3 racer, Miguel Oliveira, managed to become the fastest in FP1 MotoGP Portugal 2020 with the best record time of 1 minute 40,122 seconds.
Behind Oliveira are Maverick Vinales in second and Aleix Espargaro in third. Meanwhile the world champion MotoGP 2020, Joan Mir, scattered in seventh position.

The course of the FP1 MotoGP Portugal 2020
The host driver, Miguel Oliveira, appeared fast at the start of the FP1 session. The Red Bull KTM Tech 3 rider was able to record a time of 1 minute 42.407 seconds and occupied the top position.
The top position was taken by Alex Rins, who scored 1 minute 41.901 seconds. However, Oliveira was able to sharpen his time to 1 minute 41.703 seconds and return to first place.
Jack Miller, who last week was involved in a fierce duel with Franco Morbidelli in the Valencia MotoGP, successfully pushed into the top position after recording a time of 1 minute 41, 584 seconds. Miller shifted Oliveira who fell to second place.
After several riders entered the pits, Maverick Vinales kicked off with a record time of 1 minute 41.427 seconds. Vinales also rose to first place, ahead of Miller and Oliveira.
The track up and down like a roller coaster plus the fast turns of the Algarve International Circuit seems to present its own challenges for MotoGP riders.

32 minutes left for the FP1 session, Oliveira returned to the top position after improving his time record to 1 minute 41.258 seconds.
However, not long after, the top position was able to be taken over by Repsol Honda racer Stefan Bradl. The substitute racer for Marc Marquez successfully recorded a time of 1 minute 41.235 seconds.
The competition for the top position is even more exciting in the final 20 minutes of the FP1 MotoGP Portugal 2020 session.
Fabio Quartararo show tajinya with a record time of 1 minute 40.877 seconds to win first place. Quartararo replaced Stefan Bradl who fell to second place, while Franco Morbidelli was third.
As for Valentino Rossi who will undergo a farewell race with Monster Energy Yamaha in the Portuguese MotoGP are still scattered in the bottom position. Rossi was ranked 19th before entering the pits when FP1 had 13 minutes left.

Five minutes of FP1 Portuguese MotoGP remaining, Fabio Quartararo is still in the top position, followed by Stefan Bradl in second and Alex Rins in third.
Andrea Dovizioso then penetrated the third position, shifting Alex Rins who had to go down to fourth. Maverick Vinales then bluffed by taking the top spot with a time of 1 minute 40.162 seconds.
On the last flying lap, Lorenzo Savadori made a surprise by poking into second place. However, the position can be shifted by Aleix Espargaro.
Miguel Oliveira finally became the fastest racer in the FP1 MotoGP Portugal 2020. Behind Oliveira are Maverick Vinales and Aleix Espargaro. Meanwhile, the 2020 MotoGP world champion, Joan Mir, was scattered in seventh position.
