The Housing Fund of the Institute of Security and Social Services of State Workers (Fovissste) started in January the program to restructure credits from the Measurement and Update Unit (UMA) into pesos, for around 40 thousand beneficiaries with a loan current.
The Fovissste reported through a statement that it notified through an invitation to around 40 thousand people who met the necessary characteristics for the restructuring and accession of their credits to a scheme in pesos.
“It should be noted that the program is the result of the reforms to the ISSSTE Law, it establishes that the term of the credit will be the remaining time of the established period of 30 years and in no case may it be extended, while the interest rate will be established in 10.54 percent annually,” he added.
The program emerged as a response to support beneficiaries whose contracted credit debt was greater than the initial amount, with a cumulative maturity equivalent to six months, due to differences between their payment obligation and their payroll deduction, with the exception of those generated by omission.
“The population that received a notice and that is interested in making the change from UMA to pesos must sign a modifying agreement before a public notary; The expenses of said procedure will be covered by Fovissste, in order to facilitate the procedure and provide stability and legal certainty on the assets of the benefited families,” the institute said.
He added that beneficiaries who have obtained a reduction or a special agreement to settle a first financing are exempt from the program. Fovissste recommended that workers who are interested in knowing if their credit is part of the program, consult their account statement on the microsite https://goo.su/r73mwhere they must have a record of their personal data and the contracted credit.
