The chairman of the football association, Petr Fousek, objected to the statement of Milan Kratina, who intends to run for vice-chairman for the Czechs at the extraordinary general meeting of the FACR. Successful entrepreneur management blames low transparency and far too slow reforms. “He knows little about football,” says Fousek.
Until last year’s election, the FACR leadership went together, joining forces against the regime of former Vice-President Roman Berbr. After the winning general meeting, however, the friction areas are still expanding among the people around Petr Fousek and representatives of the Fevolution.
The biggest clash so far was the April attempt to dismiss Secretary-General Michal Valtr, which Fevoluce brought to the executive committee. The proposal did not pass, but Fousek took the attack on his key man in person.
“It was a significant moment, unacceptable to me. The action of the Fevolution aroused a very strong counter-reaction in the whole movement. It is necessary to realize that football must remain united and should not enter into further civil wars,” Fousek warned.
Another part of the struggle for influence in the football association is expected during the extraordinary general meeting on June 17, which was convened by the Fevolution. Jan Richter and Martin Drobný, chairman of the Steering Committee for the Czechs, will try to dismiss the vice-chairman for the Czechs.
“Upon request, we had to convene an extraordinary general meeting, which must be attended by the Moravian Chamber, although it is not formally concerned. All this leads to increased resistance within the movement. Similar practices were not used by Roman Berbr – he did not like many people, but is and did not convene general meetings to remove them, “Fousek continued.
The primary goal of Fevoluce is to replace Jan Richter, who, among other things, acts as the main election manager of the ANO 2011 movement, with his candidate. This is Milan Kratina, co-founder of Accolade and a man who, with an estimated fortune of seven billion crowns, is one of the 50 richest Czechs.
Kratina has been behind Fevolution since its inception, now he has decided to get involved in Czech football in person. When announcing his candidacy, he criticized the FACR leadership: no changes are visible and the football leadership does not behave transparently, according to him.
“A lot of the trials at the FACR remind me of the story of how the watermelon Kebule cooked the mist. The topic always appears, but then it disappears in the mist and nothing happens,” he said.
“We didn’t cook the fog, on the contrary, we worked hard. We didn’t idle that year, we solved a lot of things, unfortunately we couldn’t present them enough. Other tasks are ahead of us and we are ready to deal with them,” Fousek countered.
The implemented goals include the creation of a new organizational structure, the preparation of new statutes, the amendment of regulations, the revision of contracts, the creation of a new legal department, the establishment of an economic commission and a new legislative and sports council. According to him, the strengthening of the relationship with the European Union UEFA or the (so far) successful defense of the FACR in the Pelta case is also a plus.
“I think Mr. Kratina knows little about football. I respect his achievements in the commercial field, but as football is simple on the one hand, it’s complicated on the other, and it would certainly help him if he got more oriented in our environment, “the head of the FACR continued.
If Kratina succeeds at the extraordinary general meeting, Fousek cannot imagine a possible cooperation between the two men. “Certainly not after his statements, everyone writes their own opinion. I can only be pleased that I received a number of supportive reactions from the movement.
According to Fousek, Fevolution’s tactics resemble a permanent revolution. “She is just using the methods of Islamic fundamentalists. She is trying to fit herself into the role of being the sole bearer of the football revolution, but it is just another group of reform forces,” he said, noting that he was elected president .
The chances of Kratina and Fevoluce declined a few days ago after the so-called trial, in which 48 Czech divisional clubs chose 21 delegates to the general meeting with the right to vote. The delegates of the Czech Chamber must first dismiss Richter, and only then would a new vice-president be elected. “It’s a law of action and reaction,” Fousek said.
