CHALLENGE LEAGUE ⋅ FC Thun also wins its fourth game after the winter break in the Challenge League. The Bernese Oberlnders win the duel of the relegated at Neuchtel Xamax 3-0.
Thun has four points in the table ahead of Schaffhausen, which in turn drew 1: 1 at home against Wil. But the picture is bearing, because after losing points the Grasshoppers are still the clear leader. Zurich played three games less than Thun. If they win all three, their advantage is four points. In the current 19th round, the Hoppers will play against Chiasso at home on Saturday.
Thun had already won in Neuchâtel in mid-December, back then 2-1. This time offensive player Omer Dzonlagic laid the foundation for the win with two goals in the first half.
Aarau scored 16 points from the last six championship games before the winter break. In the new year, however, the FCA is going backwards. The 0-0 draw on Friday evening at SC Kriens, third from bottom, was after all the first point win after the defeats in Wil and against Schaffhausen.
Winterthur has also lost touch with the top group. The Winterthur team lost 4-1 to Stade Lausanne-Ouchy. All goals fell from the middle of the second half.
