He also pointed out that they will implement new vaccination centers in the interior of the country in order to replicate vaccines in regions and thus decentralize immunization against the coronavirus. “There is an important difference between the number of people vaccinated in the capital and what we have vaccinated in regions, where the percentage of vaccination is still very low ”, Held.

More vaccines arrive

At another time, Minister Cevallos announced that this Sunday, August 1, 1 million Sinopharm vaccines will arrive and on Monday 2, half a million doses from the pharmaceutical company Pfizer will arrive in Peru.

“The outgoing government managed 10 million Sinopharm vaccines. What we need is to talk with the laboratory now that we are in operation so that they arrive as soon as possible. What we would like is for it to arrive during the month of August and not in September to achieve greater immunization of people ”, precise.

He explained that the reason for anticipating the arrival of the doses is that in September we could have a third wave. “The largest number of vaccinated people will protect us against this”, he assured.

On the other hand, Cevallos also commented on the vote of confidence that the Cabinet expects to receive in Congress. “What the country needs is governance, stability and a lot of unity to be able to face all the challenges.”
