A six-year-old boy who fell through the ice on a lake in England on Sunday died on Wednesday. Earlier, three other children died after being pulled out of the ice-cold water.
According to British media, the children were playing on a frozen lake in Solihull, a town about 15 kilometers from Birmingham. According to an eyewitness, one of them fell through the ice. The other three also ended up in the water when they tried to save him.
The four children were pulled from the water by emergency services and taken to hospital in critical condition. Three of them died there earlier this week. They were eight, ten and eleven years old.
Six children were initially thought to have ended up in the water. But searches have turned up nothing and, according to the police, no children have been reported as missing.
In the place where the four children fell into the ice, people left flowers, soft toys, candles and postcards.
