Fourteen minors were arrested in Barendrecht on Tuesday on charges of involvement in a street robbery.
The suspects were said to have attacked two 15-year-old boys from Barendrecht and Rhoon, police said on Wednesday. They were robbed of an electric scooter, a mobile phone and other belongings they were carrying, while being threatened with a knife.
Shortly after the incident, officers arrested a group of youths on Avenue Carré in Barendrecht. They had brought the personal belongings of the victims with them. The suspects are between twelve and seventeen years old. Twelve of them come from Rotterdam and two from the Rotterdam district of Hoogvliet.
According to the police, the victims are very shocked. They sustained only minor injuries.
