The Seine-Saint-Denis is attracting more and more buyers and for good reason: fourteen cities of the y are classified in the top 500 cities where “it is good to live”, according to a ranking unveiled on Sunday April 11, 2021 by the Sunday newspaper. At the head of the towns in the department, St Denis, to the 148e ranking place.
Fourteen cities in the ranking
The classification only takes into account the cities of more than 2000. The largest city of the department thus ranks ahead. Les Sables d’Olonne on Vendée (168e) or Vichy in Allier (177e) but after Sarcelles (146e) in the Val d’Oise.
Thirteen other towns in the department have found their place in the ranking: Montreuil (242e), Rosny-sous-Bois (267e), Saint-Ouen (290e), Epinay-sur-Seine (307e), Aubervilliers (385e), Stains (402e), Noisy-le-Grand (405e), Bondy (406e), Bobigny (440e), Pantin (447e), Noisy-le-Sec (467e), The Courneuve (478e) and at the end of the classification The Blanc-Mesnil to 499e place.
183 criteria
This list was established from 183 criteria whose data were drawn from the work of INSEE, the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies. It was developed “by aggregating, analyzing and comparing volumes of data hitherto not considered”, explains the association, whose classification was published on Sunday.
The main criteria taken into account are: quality of life, safety, shops, services, transport, health, education, solidarity, sports and leisure. These criteria were weighted according to the importance given to them in an Opinion Way survey carried out in 2019. Unemployment rate or the gap with the nearest maternity hospital are among the points studied.
The top of the ranking is occupied by Annecy, Bayonne and Angers. Paris, the capital, is located at 55e ranking place.
