The girl from Berghem in Brabant was missing for six days. A few hours after the Amber Alert was issued, she was found in K.’s home in The Hague. She stated to the police that there had been fornication, and the Public Prosecution Service sees enough evidence for this, including DNA evidence.
Help out
But K. denies. He says that he met the girl on the Internet and that she indicated that she had problems with a difficult home situation and wanted to commit suicide. He would have picked her up at home to help her. He says there was no fornication.

The prosecution said that the chat between the two was almost exclusively about sex from the start, while her age was soon apparent. “As an adult man, the suspect agreed with a vulnerable 15-year-old girl.” K. says he may have “let himself be dragged along.” The Public Prosecution Service also asked the judge to impose treatment for a sexual disorder.
Need more help
The girl’s mother told the court that her daughter now needs more help than for contact with K. “And you also need help. (…) You can look so innocent, but that doesn’t work for me .”

K. is also suspected of inciting another girl to commit lewd acts. That contact also took place via the internet and photos were exchanged. The two have not met. She was just 14 years old at the time. “I do not speak well what I have done. I regret it very much and I am ashamed,” K. told the judge. “In my view it was mutual.”
Child pornography
Child pornography with very young girls has also been found on K.’s phone. He was not aware of that, he told the judge. “I have tens of thousands of photos and videos on my phone. This may have come with it.” The court will rule in two weeks.
