Daejeon Yuseong Police Station caught 6th year elementary school student A (12) and middle school 2nd year student B (14) on charges of causing an accident while stealing an electric car (special theft and violation of the Road Traffic Act). It said on the 12th that it is checking the personal information of two people.
Four people, including group A, are suspected of stealing and riding after seeing the door of an electric car being charged open in a parking lot near a residential area in Yuseong-gu, Daejeon, on the morning of this day.

At around 10:10 a.m. on the same day, Group A, who was driving without a license, crashed into a price tag signboard in front of a nearby gas station and stopped while driving on a road in Oesam-dong, Yuseong-gu, Daejeon.
Previously, while Group A was driving with three people, it was reported that the accident occurred after dropping off two people near Yuseong Hot Spring Station on Daejeon Metro Line 1 and driving an additional 7-8 km with Group B to the accident point.
The police, who were reported and dispatched, arrested Group A at the scene, and additionally caught and booked Group B, who fled immediately after the accident.
Group A, who is under the age of 14 and is a detective minor (juvenile law enforcement), is known to have stated to the police, “I decided to steal a car out of curiosity, and my brothers drove it.”
The police are currently conducting an investigation into the suspect in Group B, and will accompany the remaining two middle school students as soon as they are secured.
A police official said, “Considering that he drove the youngest group A, it is estimated that he was trying to take advantage of being a juvenile under the law.” The other two will be booked soon and investigated in detail.
