Four teams go to the softball semifinal in Rancagua – 2024-05-03 17:21:41

The countdown begins in the Softball Championship in Rancagua “Copa Andrés Galarraga”, when last week the four teams that went to the semifinal of the tournament qualified, which is played on the Santa Julia 1398 field in the regional capital.

The first game of the day gave the Yankees a place in the semifinals, in the absence of the Brewers team, since the latter, by not showing up on the field, lost, giving the victory to the Yankees with a score of 7-0.

Then, the unstoppable Chamo Burger came out onto the playing field, who, in an exciting match, managed to succumb to the group of 12 Disciples, where at the end of the round, they recorded a score of 11 runs to 9.

The winning pitcher of the afternoon was César Martínez from Chamo Burger; while one of the most outstanding players was Francisco Sánchez, who took her off the field on one occasion, with a run scored and 3 RBIs. Similar participation was that of Cristian Leal, who scored a home run, scored 3 runs and just as many RBIs.

For his part, Anderson Zambrano with 3 hits, managed to score a run and drove in 2; while Óscar López had two hits, with 3 runs scored and 1 RBI.

In this way, the four teams that qualified for the semifinals and that are preparing for the games starting this Sunday, May 5 on the same playing field, are: Gigantes, Chamo Burger, Yankees and 12 Disciples.

The four that did not manage to appear at the top of the standings and who made a great effort and gave everything for their team were: Cerveceros, Caracas, Atlético and Machalí, who will have to settle for waiting for the next tournament, with better preparation and strategies to continue highlighting this sport in the O’Higgins region.

The invitation is for all lovers of this exciting sport to attend the field of Santa Julia 1398, next to El Molino, to enjoy the meetings and share a Sunday afternoon with the family.
