Four suspects arrested in Crommelinstraat drug raid

In a drug raid committed by detectives of the Surinamese Narcotics Brigade, at an empty plot on the Crommelinstraat, four drug suspects were traced and arrested. It concerns Quincy E. (32), Denillio S. (20), Orpheo F. (25) and Urnone P. (23) reports the Suriname Police Force.

During the arrest, various types of drugs were found on the suspect Quincy, including sixty (60) pieces of XTC pills; thirteen (13) grams of cocaine: fifteen (15) grams of marijuana; nine (9) grams of Crystal Meth ‘Sukru’ and two (2) cubes of hash with a total weight of fifteen (15) grams. According to information obtained, the suspect Quincy is a drug dealer.

14.3 grams of cocaine and an ecstasy pill that he had in a bag were found on the suspect Deillio S.. According to this suspect, he had found the bag containing the drug. The suspect Orpheo F. had a total of one hundred and twelve (112) wrappers of marijuana with a total weight of seventy (70) grams. Police also found 61 grams of marijuana hidden in a bag at Orpheo.

The police did not find anything on the fourth suspect Urnone. However, upon arrival, the law enforcement officers noticed that this suspect was helping his companion Orpheo pack drugs, after which the pernicious stuff was placed on a table. Urnone told police that at the time of the raid he was just at that location to buy a ‘sticky’.

All drugs and items found were seized by the detectives, after which the foursome were transferred to the station.

The drug suspect Quincy, who is known to the police and who had been detained earlier this year for Violation of the Drugs Act, has been detained together with Denillio and Orpheo after consultation with the Surinamese Public Prosecution Service. The suspect Urnone was sent away after being arraigned and interrogated, reports the police.
