It was Sunday that four students from the University of Idaho in Moscow were found dead. They were all found in a residence off campus itself, but in an area where many students live, writes NBC.

The victims are 20 and 21 years old and police have no suspects in the case.

Police have previously stated that there is no danger to others in the area but have now reverted to the matter.

LOCAL POLICE CHIEF: Stephen Fry is the Chief of Police in Moscow, Idaho, where a major homicide investigation is underway.

– We have no suspects and the person in question is still out there. We cannot say that there is no danger in the local community, says police chief James Fry of the Moscow police, who however adds that the police believe it is an isolated incident.

Moscow is a small city in Idaho with about 25,000 residents.

Police have provided very few details after the four students were found dead. They had all been out at functions on the college campus. Two of them, Madison Mogen (21) and Kaylee Goncalves (21) had been to a local bar, while Ethan Chapin (20) and Xana Kernodle (20) had been to a student party.

YOUNG VICTIMS REMIND: Flowers and candles were placed outside the Mad Greek restaurant in central Moscow.

They all got home about 0145 on a Sunday evening. Later that day, police received 911 calls about the discovery of an unconscious person at the scene. When the police arrived at the scene, they found the four students stabbed to death.

Two other students who lived there were unhurt. Police believe the other two students were at the house when the crime occurred, but police won’t confirm or deny whether they are suspects in the case.

– We all look, says Kedrick Willis, who works in the state police in Idaho.

– All the hints we get, all the clues. There is no one we will not talk to.

Aaron Snell, who is the Idaho state police chief, says the other people who live in the house cooperated with the police.

FOUND MURDERED: Ethan Chapin and Xana Kernodle were two of the victims of the student murders in Moscow.

No murder weapons were found and police say there was no indication that anyone had broken into the house.

25 detectives are working the case and Willis says they are reviewing a video they received. Police are also encouraging anyone who may have useful information to come forward.

Many of those left behind are now frustrated with police lack of information, writes NBC.

– There is a lack of information from both the University and the Local Police. It only leads to false rumors in the press and on social media
