Four stories of “Hunger for Love”

Federica, Elena, Federico, Harold. They are boys and girls who are hungry for love and struggling to heal from their inner ills. Their stories will be told in the episode of “Fame d’Amore” broadcast on Monday 21 November at 11.15 pm on Rai 3 with Francesca Fialdini. Federica is a bulimic girl who is about to enter a specialized facility where they treat people suffering from eating disorders. Elena suffers from anorexia and is hospitalized because she has had a relapse and is again struggling with her illness. Federico, a teenager with psychiatric problems who, after a fit of anger, flees the community where he is hospitalized and finally Harold, ready to begin his gender transition journey.
Fame d’Amore offers a series of evenings to learn how to ask the right questions, seek answers together and turn the spotlight on all those mental disorders that are affecting our society, especially young people: 25 percent suffer from depression and 20.5 percent anxiety, the number of young people who self-harm or attempt suicide increased by 45 percent. In each episode, the confrontation with patients, their families, doctors and support staff, through a constant, sincere, engaging and never judgmental dialogue.
