Jakarta (ANTARA) –
The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) said that as many as four planets could be seen in the Indonesian sky during the planet parade space phenomenon that happened today, Wednesday.
Among the planets seen in Indonesia are Jupiter, Mars and Saturn as bright planets. Then there is Mercury which appears as a dim planet.
“There are three bright planets visible in the morning at 05.00, namely Jupiter, Mars and Saturn. In addition to the dim planet Mercury,” BRIN Astronomy & Astrophysics researcher Thomas Djamaluddin said when confirmed in in Jakarta, Wednesday.
Thomas explained that only the planets Mars, Jupiter and Saturn can be seen with the naked eye.
He recommends using a telescope to see the planets more clearly, including Saturn’s rings which can also be seen with this device.
“Jupiter and Saturn are seen as bright stars. Mars is seen as a red star. It is best to see it with a telescope so that you can see the rings of the planet Saturn,” said Thomas.
Apart from Indonesia, this beautiful astronomical phenomenon can also be seen in most places in the world, including Abu Dhabi, Hong Kong, Athens, New York, Tokyo, Berlin, London , Reykjavik, Mexico, Sao Paulo and Sydney.
Each country has a different good time to be able to see this phenomenon clearly.
