The video captured by a security camera captured the moment of tragedy. Around 4:30 p.m., four horticultural workers seek shelter from the rain. Within seconds, a lightning bolt discharges under one of the trees in the area, which strikes people with all its energy. Three of them immediately fall unconscious, the fourth falls seconds later.
The victims were identified as Ramprasad, Shivdutt and Lali, born in the city of Uttar Pradesh, and Anil Kumar, resident in Sohna and the superior of those named. Everyone was doing gardening work in an apartment complex called Vatika Signature Villas.
Shivdutt, Lali and Kumar are stable and are being treated in the hospital, while 38-year-old Ramprasad succumbed to his injuries on Friday night.
