Four people have died and more than 90 have been injured during the August festivities in El Salvador, the General Directorate of Civil Protection said.
The deaths occurred in traffic accidents, in which at least 96 people were injured.
The director of Civil Protection, Luis Amaya, explained that they have recorded 166 road accidents since the start of the holidays at the end of July.
Among the dead are three motorcyclists who lost their lives on Sunday morning, including a 16-year-old boy.
The National Civil Police also reported the arrest of 30 drivers, most of them for driving under the influence of alcohol. According to reports from the National Road Safety Observatory, between January 1 and August 1, 2,072 motorcycle traffic accidents occurred in the country, an increase of 12 percent, resulting in 292 deaths and 1,730 injuries.
