Four people died in a traffic accident in Nordland

The police state in a press release that a tractor with a trailer was hit from behind by a foreign-registered car. The accident happened about in the middle of the tunnel.

– There are six adults involved in the accident, one person sitting in the tractor and five people sitting in the car. Four have been confirmed dead by health personnel at the scene. All four dead were in the car, says operations manager Tommy Bech in the Nordland police.

– In addition, two people are injured and have been transported by air ambulance to Nordland Hospital. The police are working to clarify the identity of those who were in the foreign-registered car.

The accident group of the Norwegian Public Roads Administration is on its way to the site.
