Four out of ten real estate buyers who buy their home in the Balearic Islands do not need a mortgage. The newspaper Ultima Hora writes it. The Spanish average is around 30%.
It is mainly buyers from abroad who bring the necessary capital with them and do not need money from the bank.
Meanwhile, Spaniards who want to buy property in the Balearic Islands pay significantly higher mortgage payments on average than their compatriots in other regions of Spain.
In the first nine months of last year alone, around 18,000 properties changed hands in the Balearic Islands and 11,000 of them were mortgaged.
