Four new detours to the Bergen Childcare Office
Four new deviations have been discovered at the Child Protection Service in Bergenhus and Årstad, says City Councilor for Culture, Social Affairs and Inclusion Katrine Nødtvedt (MDG) at an emergency meeting on child protection in Bergen this afternoon .
He could say that they found that a troubling report had been lying around for two years, untreated.
– The deviations relate to non-compliance with the deadline for reporting concerns as early as 2020. The reports of concern were not detected. They’ve been left for a long, long time.
Nødtvedt says she was notified of the detours this week. She visited the office today.
– I would like to apologize that these errors occurred. The office is following the cases and is working hard to find out if there are any other undetected deviations, the city council concludes.
