Four people are missing after an Australian army helicopter crashed into the sea during a large-scale military exercise, Australian Defense Minister Richard Marless said Saturday.
The European-made plane, a Taipan MRH-90, crashed earlier Friday.
“As we speak to you now, the four crew members have not yet been found,” Marlies said 12 hours after the accident. Large-scale military exercises between Washington and Canberra have been suspended.
