The outcome, after four months of investigation. On September 21, 2021, a car crashed into the So Wok restaurant, located Rue des Perrières near Dijon train station, in the middle of the night. The vehicle was then burned, the fire dislodging the fifteen inhabitants of the building. Nearly four months later, following a “thorough” investigation, four people were arrested in this case according to the Territorial Directorate of the Dijon Judicial Police. We still don’t know their motives.
Arrests in Dijon and Eure-et-Loir
Tuesday January 11, 2022, the Criminal Brigade of the Dijon Judicial Police arrested several people in Dijon but also in Dreux (Eure-et-Loir). “A group of individuals involved in varying degrees” was arrested, police said. For example, implicated for having driven from Paris to Dijon the vehicle which ended in flames.
During these arrests, the police also discovered at the home of the person arrested in Dijon: a kilo of herbal cannabis, two firearms and another stolen vehicle (in the Hauts-de-Seine). Thursday January 13, 2022, four men – aged 20 to 31 – including a Dijon native from Chenôve were presented to an investigating judge in Dijon.
No links with the shootings at Fontaine d’Ouche
“This sponsored arson does not present, in the state of the police investigations, any links with the shootings by firearm which took place over the same period in the district of the Fontaine d’Ouche”, specifies the Territorial Directorate of the Dijon judicial police. In September 2021, a business had in particular been the target of fire in this Dijon district.
