As expected, the Redmi Note 12 mobile phones were also presented in Europe today. The basic 4G model is completely new, we have not seen this anywhere else, but the Note 12 5G and the two Pro models have been available elsewhere in China for some time. Let’s take a look at what mid-range Xiaomi phones can do!
Redmi Note 12 (4G)
The entry-level model of the series has a 6.67-inch, 120 Hz AMOLED display, the resolution is the usual Full HD+, and the maximum brightness can reach up to 1200 nits. Protection is provided by Gorilla Glass 3.
The phone is powered by the 6nm Snapdragon 685 chip, which can be ordered with 4, 6 or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and the UFS 2.2 internal storage is 64 or 128GB and can be expanded.
The 50MP main camera uses a Samsung JN1 sensor, along with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle unit and a 2MP macro camera. You can take selfies with the 13 MP front sensor.
The battery capacity is 5000mAh and supports 33W fast charging. The adapter for this will be included in the box. The fingerprint reader on the side, the IP53 drop-proof rating, the 3.5 mm jack and the infrared port are also worth mentioning.
Redmi Note 12 5G
The 5G version is almost identical to the 4G model, the biggest difference is the hardware, because it uses Snapdragon 4 Gen 1, which already enables access to new generation networks.
The phone also has NFC (depending on region) and is available with 256GB of storage. The display, cameras and other features are roughly the same, and so is the design, there is no essential difference.
Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G
The parameters of the display have basically not changed, we still get a 6.67-inch, 120 Hz panel with Full HD+ resolution, but here they used a slightly more serious solution, which goes by the name “Flow AMOLED”. Gorilla Glass 5 protection and Dolby Vision support are new.
The phone is powered by a more powerful hardware, the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 with a so-called “LiquidCool” cooling, which is accompanied by 6 or 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128 or 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
There is also a 50 MP camera on the back, but this time a much larger and more serious sensor, the Sony IMX766, works with optical image stabilization. The 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera and the 2 MP macro unit are unchanged, but the selfie camera is now 16 MP.
The battery capacity is also 5000 mAh this time, but it can be charged with 67 W, and here we also get the appropriate adapter. The side fingerprint reader, IP53 drop-proof rating, 3.5 mm jack connector, NFC and infrared port were not left out either. There is also a pair of stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, and the vibration motor is a bit more serious than in the basic models.
Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G
The Pro+ version is very similar to the plain Pro model, but there are some significant improvements. For example, the Dimensity 1080 chip already comes with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage space, but what is even more important is the 200 MP main camera (1/1.4 inch sensor size, 2.24 μm after 16 consolidation es pixels, f/1.6 aperture, OIS).
The other progress can be seen in the charging process, the 5000 mAh battery can be powered with up to 120 W, and a suitable adapter is also included.
