Successful start for the DSV eagles in the four hill tour!
In the qualification for the start of the tour in Oberstdorf, Stephan Leyhe (27 / third place), Markus Eisenbichler (28 / fifth place) and Karl Geiger (26 / sixth place) three German ski jumpers finished in the top 10. The former top star Richard Freitag, on the other hand, retired after a disappointing jump.
The Austrian Stefan Kraft (26), who also managed the longest jump of the day with 136 meters, won the qualification at the Schattenbergschanze.
“It was fun to slide here,” said Geiger, who has started the tour as the greatest German hope due to his previous season performances.
