Four men were shot to death in a violent period of just six hours yesterday in Brooklyn and Queens.
The tragic streak began in broad daylight around 4 pm when Rasard Deas, 22, was fatally shot in the chest outside the First Cook Chinese restaurant at Stillwell Avenue and Avenue W in Gravesend, Brooklyn.
He was rushed to Coney Island Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. According to witnesses, The young man collapsed inside the restaurant after being shot by a gunman who had just shaken his hand.
The second homicide happened minutes before 7 pm, also in Brooklyn, with an additional injury. Police were responding to a 911 call on Clarkson Avenue near Utica Avenue in Flatbush when they discovered a 22-year-old man outside an apartment building with a gunshot wound to his stomach, authorities said.
He was taken to Kings County Hospital Center in stable condition. But the investigation led police to the building, where inside they discovered a 38-year-old man who was shot multiple times in the torso and was pronounced dead at the scene.
It appears the gunman may have barricaded himself at some point inside the apartment with the fatal victim, but then escaped, according to New York Post.
Minutes later, Tristan Templeman, 22, received a fatal shot to the head inside his home on Montauk Avenue near Hegeman Avenue in East New York, Brooklynaround 7:15 p.m.
Cops found Templeton when they responded to a 911 call from a neighbor. He was pronounced dead at the scene. NYPD is still investigating what led up to that shooting.
Ultimately, a 37-year-old man was shot in the torso at 221st Street and 94th Drive in Queens Village around 10:15 p.m. Wednesday. He was rushed to North Shore-Manhasset University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
