The VSV didn’t hold back for long in today’s game against the Vienna Capitals. Lanzinger scored the first goal after just seven minutes and from then on they didn’t look back.
After Lanzinger made it 1-0 for Villach in the seventh minute, it only took nine minutes before they could make it 4-0! Richter, Tomazevic and once again Lanzinger caused a storm of cheers in the Draustadt. The Viennese were hardly there anymore. In the second third, VSV took things a little easier – and was still able to increase the score to 5-0. Tomazevic was also able to celebrate a second goal.
Two Vienna goals in the final third
In the final third, the Vienna Capitals really reared their game for the first time in this game. They weren’t able to score a consolation goal (45th) through Eriksson, two minutes later they even scored a second time: This time Weinger was the goalscorer. Shortly before the end, Ticar even made it 3:5. The 5-0 scoreline was of course too high a hurdle, but VSV was able to win the game in the end. In the end, Sabolic even hit the empty goal again and made the final score 6:3.
