According to the police, the 53-year-old from the Cainsdorf district received a WhatsApp message on Sunday afternoon, allegedly from her daughter.

“In the message, she claimed that her cell phone was broken and that she was writing from a different number. She then asked for a four-digit wire transfer to pay a bill,” police said.

The 53-year-old transferred the amount, but then received another claim. This made her suspicious and she informed the police and her bank about the fraud.
