Four people died as a result of severe floods in the area of the Russian Black Sea resort of Sochi, southern Russia, local officials said today, DPA reported.
A car moving near the town of Tuapse was dragged by the incoming water, killing a 36-year-old woman and her 13-year-old daughter.
The bodies of a 71-year-old man and a girl were found in the same area.
Due to bad weather, authorities have declared a state of emergency in some parts of the region.
Entire residential areas in Sochi were flooded, BTA clarified.
