Pitten once again started the season in the extended circle of title contenders. Unlike the years before, the Lueger-Elf also did justice to this role in tabular form. Pitten finished the first half of the season in fourth place. The big coup is still out of reach for this season. The league dinosaur is eleven points short of leader Berndorf. Too big a mortgage on a team. which only dropped five points in the fall. Pitten therefore uses the spring to build up for the coming season. Martin Liska is said to be the missing piece of the puzzle for a possible master puzzle.
“We are on the right path”
In the friendlies, there was little surprise for Pitten when it came to the results. There were victories or at least draws against supposedly weaker opponents. Ondrej Skorec and Co went away empty-handed against the regional league teams until Saturday. There was a furious 6-1 victory against Kirchschlag in the dress rehearsal. Coach Dietmar Lueger believes that his team is ready for the start of the season: “We’re on the right track.” The first laps could hardly be more attractive for the Pitteners – Scheiblingkirchen KM II, Bad Erlach, Neunkirchen, Grimmenstein, lots of duels with local rivals who are already pointing the way to whether Pitten can at least orientate himself towards second place.
