The Guardamar Talía has completed the rescue of the cayuco that was sighted by a Moroccan fishing boat this Thursday 270 miles southwest of the island of El Hierro with a total of four people dead and 27 survivors, all of sub-Saharan origin.
The bodies correspond to an adult woman and man, a teenager and a girl, and among the survivors there are 13 men, 13 women and a minor.
Until the arrival of the Maritime Rescue boat, the migrants were helped with water and food by the fishing boat and a merchant ship that also traveled to the place.
La Guardamar Talía sails in the direction of the port of La Restinga, in El Hierro, and is scheduled to arrive this Saturday around 07:00.
