The Canary Islands have registered four deaths from covid-19 in the last 24 hours, as well as 148 new infections, according to data from the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands.
The deceased are a 54-year-old man and a 56-year-old woman in Tenerife, and a 47-year-old woman and a 93-year-old man in Gran Canaria.
The two deaths in Tenerife are linked to social-family outbreaks and the deceased in Gran Canaria to a family outbreak.
The four remained admitted to the hospital and suffered from previous pathologies.
By islands, in Tenerife there have been 77 infections since Thursday, in Gran Canaria 54, in Lanzarote 12, in El Hierro 3, in La Palma 1, in Fuerteventura 1 and in La Gomera none.
The cumulative incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 46.97 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 106.39.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 52,590 infections have been registered in the Canary Islands, with 729 deaths and 48,422 medical discharges, which leaves the active cases at 3,439.
In Tenerife there are 22,664 active cases, in Gran Canaria 984, in Lanzarote 129, in Fuerteventura 52, in La Palma 35, in El Hierro 24 and in La Gomera 1.
In total, 1,051,389 PCR tests have been carried out on the islands, 2,962 of them in the last 24 hours.
