Turkey’s foreign minister is due to begin a four-day visit to New York on Tuesday to attend a global migration forum, the foreign ministry said Monday evening.

Mevlut Cavusoglu will make an official visit to New York “to attend the first-ever International Migration Review Forum (IMRF) on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly,” a ministry statement said.

Turkey’s Foreign Minister will also attend the Ministerial Meeting of the Global Call to Action for Food Security, which will be hosted by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and hold bilateral meetings on this occasion, adds the communicated.

Cavusoglu and Blinken “will hold the first meeting at the level of foreign ministers of the Turkey-US strategic mechanism”, and the head of Turkish diplomacy is also expected to meet with members of the Turkish-American community in New York, the statement adds. .
