Four women originally from Cuba were expelled from Russia this week after being found guilty of committing administrative violations.
According to local media TulaPressthe women lived in the Tula region, southern Russia, and the decision to deport the women was made on April 3 by the Proletarsky District Court, where they were detained.
The authorities came to the conclusion that the Cuban women, identified as Y. Leyva Velázquez, N. González Batista, DY Hicke Braffo and RE Díaz Sánchez, violated the residence regime for stay in Russia, which only allows them to remain in the country European for a maximum of three months.
Because of this, the women also received fines of 2,000 and 3,000 rubles (about 20 and 30 dollars).
While three of these ended up forcibly deported from Russia, Díaz Sánchez was expelled in the form of a “self-controlled exit,” which means that the Cuban will leave the country, but at her own expense.
Cubans expelled from Russia
If local reports are taken into account, there are already several Cubans who have been prosecuted and deported from the European giant in recent weeks.
These cases began to increase when Russia began a campaign against foreigners with irregular status in the country, due to the terrorist attack that occurred at the end of March in Moscow.
The middle DZen points out that the Tula authorities found the Cubans L. Chaviano Delgado and J. Alberto Penichet, guilty of having entered Russia illegally in 2021. They were expelled from the country after receiving a fine of 3,500 rubles each.
At the end of March, Russian border authorities detained a family of five Cubans identified as Katia Regina Figueroa López, Carlos Daniel Reyes Figueroa, Jorge Luis Arias Figueroa and Javier Alejandro Figueroa López, who “lacked the appropriate documents to remain in the border area.”
Similarly, we know of a Cuban tourist who stayed in the city of Ivanovo, in the center of the European country, and was accused of violating the stay regime, for which he was also fined and expelled from Russian territory.
