Four bands and a bar 20 meters long: – We are more than just a sports field

TUIL is the organizer of the one-day festival Tromsdalen Live, and can boast Violet Road, Modern Times, DJ Kohib and the improv theater group Gratis Øl on the stage set up inside the ballroom -football area TUIL Thursday night.

This is the first time the sports team has organized a festival in their new field and will set an indoor audience record.

There is space for 1,500 people and ticket sales are on sale.

– Big happening

– This happens a lot in the valley, and we hope to fill the hall with people. We already have good ticket sales, but there is still room for more, says TUIL sports manager Tómas Heide.

It promises a real autumn party with four bands on stage and a 20 meter bar counter.

The aim of Tromsdalen Live is to create an evening full of music, entertainment and a good atmosphere.

The festival is inspired by the traditional atmosphere of Bellevue, says Heide, and TUIL wants to promote its role as a gathering place for the people of Tromsdalen:

– We want to show that TUIL Arena is more than just a sports arena. We want to create a living space for culture and community, continues Heide.

Starting with rigging

Thursday night, the rigging was in full swing. Tiles have been laid on the artificial grass inside, where a large platform, seating areas with tables, wardrobes and a large bar counter have been set up.

The event is the result of over 300 hours of volunteer effort.

– We are very proud to be able to present this festival to Tromsø. We hope that it will be successful and that people will come and enjoy us with us, says Heide.

From a game to a concert

On Saturday afternoon, the TUIL men’s team will be playing a very interesting series game and the timing could not be better.

TUIL is fighting for promotion in the PostNord league and will meet Skeid, who are one point ahead of the table before the game.

Heide expects that it will be crowded in the stands before and during the game, and he hopes that as many as possible will choose to continue in the afternoon and evening at the field.

– We open the doors to Tromsdalen Live so that people can go straight from the game to the concert area inside, he says.

TUIL says they have also set up a free bus from the TUIL area to central Tromsø after the concerts.
