Four Astronauts Return Safely to Earth from the International Space Station

After spending half a year on the International Space Station (ISS), four astronauts from three different countries have returned to Earth, says Nasa.

Two of the astronauts are from the United States, one from Russia and one from the United Arab Emirates.

They landed safely off the coast of Florida early Monday morning after leaving the ISS with SpaceX’s Dragon Endeavor spacecraft 17 hours earlier.

There are now seven people on the space station, four of whom arrived on 27 August.

Before returning from the space station, they are said to have expressed a long-awaited desire for hot showers, hot coffee and sea air, according to ap news.

The respective astronauts are Stephen Bowen and Warren Hoburg from the United States, Andrei Fedyaev from Russia and the Emirate’s Sultan al-Neyadi. The latter will be the first person from the Arab world to spend such a long time in space.
