Founder of Startup Cash App, Bob Lee, Murdered in San Francisco

San Francisco

The frontman of the technology world and the founder of the startup Cash App, Bob Lee, was killed by being stabbed with a knife. He was stabbed while walking in the early hours of the morning, in one of the city’s elite neighborhoods. Residents became afraid.

The murder became the subject of discussion about security in San Francisco. Some said the incident worried them, while others said they still feel safe despite the terrible news.

“Everyone is talking about it. They are very concerned about his death,” said Sam Habash who worked near the crime scene, as quoted by detikINET from ABC News.

Habash, who usually works the night shift from 5pm to 9pm, said he still feels very safe in the area even after the crime. Another employee named Balcom said he considered the area relatively safe, but added that the killings had raised alarm.

“There are people talking about bringing pepper spray and also which pepper spray is the best for guarding against crime,” Balcom said.

So far, no suspects have been arrested. “This investigation is in its early stages. As such, we do not comment or speculate on the circumstances surrounding this horrific crime,” said Adam Lobsinger, public information officer for the San Francisco Police Department.

“We will deploy the necessary resources and personnel for this investigation,” he added.

San Francisco is an affluent tourist city, adjacent to Silicon Valley as the technology center of the United States. However, lately, the crime rate there is considered to continue to increase plus the number of homeless people.
