The funding goals of the Foundation for Technology, Innovation and Research Thuringia (STIFT)
The foundation promotes research, science and technology in Thuringia with a view to promoting the region’s economy. The foundation focuses in particular on the areas of innovative technologies, promoting educational institutions, young people and start-ups.
The Thuringia Foundation for Technology, Innovation and Research (STIFT) was established in 1993 by the Free State of Thuringia. The foundation capital is around 5 million euros.
Requirements for funding
Companies, universities, research institutions, networks, chambers and associations as well as other educational institutions are eligible for funding. Applications can be made at any time.

Funding takes the form of non-repayable grants, low-interest loans, a guarantee or a combination of these options. Project costs are funded.
