His name was Pierre and he was 60 years old. One day in May 2021, he was transported to the Hull Hospital emergency room by ambulance. In triage, he was assigned a priority rating of P3. According to current standards, he “ideally” should have been seen by a doctor within a maximum of 30 minutes. But when the emergency doctor showed up at his bedside seven hours later, he was dead. Nearly six years after severely criticizing the long delays in medical treatment in another emergency room in the region, coroner Pierre Bourassa is doing it again with a new recommendation that the Outaouais Integrated Health and Social Services Center (CISSSO ) finds a way to make things better.
