American scientists have found that vitamin D helps prevent the development of inoperable cancer, reports the Express edition. Vitamin D has anti-tumor properties and slows down the development of cancer. At the same time, vitamin does not affect the total number of cancer cases.
It is noted that the study revealed an interesting fact – in patients who consumed vitamin D, the risk of developing cancer in the later stages was 38% lower. “These findings indicate that vitamin D may reduce the risk of advanced cancer,” said Dr. Pauletta Shandler of the Brigham Hospital in Boston.
It is emphasized that this theory proves the observation that people living near the equator are less susceptible to cancer – all this is due to sunlight, which is much more in the year. And sunlight is known to promote the production of vitamin D.
It is noted that the vitamin can be found in egg yolk, oily fish and cereals.
