For many years at the beginning of August, a collection has been organized in Beg-Meil, in the Saint-Guénolé church. This year it takes place on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, from 8:50 a.m. to 1 p.m. You must make an appointment on the website dondesang.efs.sante.fr and on the day of the blood drive, show up a quarter of an hour before the set time, with an identity document (old and new donors).
Some conditions
To present yourself for blood donation, you must feel in good health, be 18 years old, donation is possible until the age of 70, weigh at least 50 kg. Women can donate four times a year, men six times; an interval of eight weeks between two donations is necessary.
A necessary gesture
The needs are very important; the reserves which must be fourteen days are insufficient and for several months are not replenished any more. In Brittany, 600 donations are needed every day, 10,000 in France, to treat the sick. One blood donation saves three lives!
