The Banjarmasin City Health Service together with residents of the Sungai Andai Sub-District commemorated Asean Day of Dengue Fever on Jalan Padat Karya, courtyard of the Al Hijrah Mosque, Monday (3/7/2023).
The Banjarmasin Regional Secretary, Ikhsan Budiman, Banjarmasin City Health Office, M Ramadhan, North Banjarmasin Sub-District Head, as well as Village Heads in North Banjarmasin District were present.
The Secretary said, while opening the event, that it was necessary to prevent from the start so that the transmission of the Dengue virus from the Aedes Aegypti mosquito continued, such as practicing 3M, draining, burying and killing mosquito larvae.
Ikhsan is grateful that many people are willing to practice the implementation of the 3 M.
He has also proven, during the event of entering the houses of the residents of Sungai Andai, especially in the Mutiara block, that the residents’ clean water reservoirs do not have larvae and that housing sanitation arrangements are also maintained.
“Today is an important moment, we ask all of our people to clean their homes from the danger of mosquitoes. I saw earlier, the residents’ houses were clean of larvae. Hopefully this can be practiced by other residents regarding prevention of dengue fever by 3M,” he said.
