Series 26 in Forza Horizon 5 will bring eight new cars – four free and four paid. The first group included the car most desired by the community… however hard it may be to believe. Playground Games has also prepared some other interesting news.

It seems that we can already talk about a new trend in the post-release development of Forza Horizon 5. In June and August we received paid car packages – and now, after another two months, it has happened again. Fortunately, this doesn’t mean we’re easing the emphasis on adding free content to the game.
4 free cars in the update
Yesterday’s transmission Playground Games has brought details about Series 26, which bears the title Day of the Dead, and will start on October 12. First, let’s get to know the four new cars added in the update:

The star of this list is the Nissan Tsuru. Yes, this is the car that the community dreams of, which incomprehensibly outclasses all the competition in the world voting on the official forum of the Forza series. This inconspicuous sedan (visible in the picture above) is for Mexico what the Fiat 126p was for Poland in the 1990s – an icon and the most common sight on the streets. It replaced the VW Beetle in this role.
For this reason, Tsuru in the game can be converted into a taxi, for example. To compensate for its mediocre performance, the developer offers a larger selection of replacement engines for it than for any other car in FH5.
4 paid cars in DLC
If you want more high-performance new vehicles, you will have to reach for your wallet and buy the Super Speed Car Pack with four cars, which will debut on October 10. It will probably cost PLN 24 and will not be included in the Premium edition of the game. Here is its content:

It’s worth keeping in mind that KTM and Volkswagen are available at no additional cost on Forza Motorsport (with the former being unlocked on October 12).

Drift cam and Day of the Dead
Returning to the free news – the update will bring a few more interesting changes.
The drift camera will be extended to a TPP view (so-called chase camera). When enabled, the perspective will be oriented towards the direction of travel instead of the rear of the car, making it easier to keep an eye on the road in a skid. Finally, “hard to find” cars will be added to the Forzathon store, making it easier to obtain elusive models that have so far been mostly reserved for main prizes on the Festival Playlist (and appearing there far too rarely). In the town of Mulege we will see a variety of decorations on the occasion of the titular Day of the Dead (Spanish: Dia de Muertos), from piles of flowers reacting with passing cars, through figures and flags, to night drone shows. New objects can also be used in the Event Lab. There will also be special outfits and badges, as well as additional achievements to obtain. On October 10, all players will receive a racing suit celebrating the premiere of Forza Motorsport, and on November 2, Day of the Dead costumes.
In addition, there will be bug fixes, mainly related to the new features in the Competition Laboratory introduced in Series 25. The full list of changes will be available when the update is available for download – on October 10.
Series 27 and the future
The broadcast traditionally ended with an insight into the subsequent development of the game. November 9 will see the start of the 27 Series celebrating American motoring (called American Automotive), which will finally provide new race tracks (four road), “multiple cars” and the return of the oval track in the stadium.
In addition, we heard one more interesting information. We have been assured that next year will bring many updates to the game. Perhaps this was only to ensure that the debuting Forza Motorsport would not in any way harm the sandbox branch of the series. However, who knows, it was also supposed to be a very vague suggestion that – contrary to expectations – Forza Horizon 6 will not be released in 2024…
