Forza Horizon 5 looks magnificent

A lot of the fun of the Horizon series is to experience the world around, not to be locked into a racing track.

That’s why it’s important that things look good, and because there’s a whole new generation of consoles to be sold this Christmas, things look extra amazing this year.

Forza games have always been the prettiest with new Xbox hardware, perhaps just beaten or challenged by the Gears series.

We knew from the start that our goal was to create the largest Forza Horizon world ever, but we also wanted diversity and contrast. Mexico is almost like the whole world wrapped in one country: snow-capped peaks, tropical jungles, epic gorges, beautiful beaches, ancient architecture and modern cities. Adding to Mexico’s incredible culture – music, art, history, people – could not have been a more exciting place for the Horizon Festival.

Horizon 5 is one and a half times larger than its predecessor

Playground has created 11 different “biomes” in Forza Horizon 5 that will give players the diversity and contrasts, in addition to seasons that the different mini-universes will all experience differently.

An example is that it rains in the spring, while in the summer there can be intense thunderstorms along the coast.
