Forward Ondrášek is back in Wisła Kraków after three years

Striker Zdeněk Ondrášek returned to Wisła Kraków after three years. He signed a contract with the club until June next year with an option. He will compete in the jersey of the thirteen-time Polish champion under the Slovak coach Adrian Guľa, who already led him in Pilsen. Czech defenders Matěj Hanousek and Michal Frydrych and forward Jan Kliment also work in Wisła.

Ondrášek, 33, last played for Tromsö, Norway, in the autumn, where he worked in 2012-14 and then moved to Wisła. He spent two years in the Krakow club, scored 21 goals in 69 matches and became a fan favorite. He then went to MLS in Dallas, followed by an engagement in Pilsen, a short episode in the Romanian FCSB, autumn work in Tromsö and now another return to Wisła.

“Zdeněk is our man. He is a player who will help us on the field and in the cabin,” said sports director Tomasz Pasieczny on the Wisla website. “We decided to rebuild the offensive line and Zdeněk is its first article. We believe that his skills, incredible ambition and character will help Wisla collect points and also increase the competition in the team,” he declared to the address of the seven-time Czech national team member, who scored two goals in the national team.
