The Occupational Safety and Health Forum took place on October 26, 2022 at LuxExpo The Box. Almost 1,500 visitors were expected in this 15th edition. Around 100 exhibitors presented new developments in occupational health and safety and more than 20 workshops took place throughout the day. The organization of the SST Forum was provided by the initiators of VISION ZERO: the Association for Accident Insurance, the Union of Luxembourg Enterprises and the National Institute for Sustainable Development and Corporate Social Responsibility.
Claude Haagen, Minister of Social Security, gave the welcome speech. The Ministry of Labor, Labor and Social and Solidarity Economy and the Ministry of Health were also represented at the Forum.
During the official session, the new phase of VISION ZERO 2023-2030, the national strategy for the prevention of accidents at work, travel accidents and occupational diseases, was presented by Claude Seywert, president of the AAA, Michel Reckinger, president of the UEL, and Jean-Paul Olinger, director of the INDR. This strategy is supported by the government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The budget VISION ZERO 2016-2022 it was also done. In addition, the four winners of the Occupational Safety and Health Award were awarded during the OHS Forum. We congratulate Ceratizit Luxembourg SARL, Syndicat intercommunal CNI Syrdall Schwemm, Cocottes and Sodexo Luxembourg SA for their projects in the field of improving health and safety or well-being at work. The general public has the opportunity to vote for the People’s Choice Award until November 30th. The organizers of the Forum would like to expressly thank the partners and ministries who supported the Forum, as well as all exhibitors and workshop leaders and, of course, all visitors who took advantage of the OHS exchange platform. The next edition of the Forum in the form of a fair will take place in 2024. A conference edition will take place on 11 May 2023 at the Chamber of Commerce.
