Fortuna handball players suffer their next loss

The SV Fortuna 50 Neubrandenburg regional league handball players have already suffered their fourth defeat in the sixth game of the season and slipped to eleventh place in the table after losing 26:33 (12:19) on- against the second team from Empor Rostock. Only three teams are still behind the Neubrandenburgers, Rudow and Greifswald/Loitz with only one less point.

“This is not really what we hoped for and expected. It was clear that it would not be easy in the league. But we have a team with a lot of individual classes and we must finally be able to bring our playing ability to the table regularly,” said Fortuna team manager Andreas Schröder. The decision to start in Rostock was made in first half. The Fortunes were there until the 19th minute of the game. But then they fell behind 10:16 within six minutes – as it turned out, too big a burden for the rest of the game.

Warnemünde is coming on Saturday

“The conversion didn’t work as we thought, we made too many technical mistakes and often the pictures weren’t good either. In the end, only our keepers could be consistently believed. We definitely have to evaluate this game a little more carefully,” Schröder said.

The next state derby is next Saturday. Neubrandenburg will then welcome newly promoted SV Warnemünde to the Webasto Arena, who are currently four places ahead of the Fortuna handball players with an even point balance. Kick off is at 7:30pm.
